Siddal Moor Student Ambassadors set off on their adventure to Thailand
This trip is helping pioneer a completely new venture and playing a vital role in further developing our International Links project. This is also a chance to see the results of the work they have put into this project to date, and to take their role of Student Ambassadors and representatives of Siddal Moor to a new level. Moreover, it offers them the chance to experience and immerse themselves in a completely different culture in a rich, vibrant and fascinating part of the world.

'DROP EVERYTHING AND READ' is one of the literacy initiatives introduced by Siddal Moor within Year 7.

'DROP EVERYTHING AND READ' is a national month-long celebration of reading designed to remind people of all ages to make reading a priority activity in their lives.

10 Reading Mentors from Year 9 have also been chosen and will read with the Year 7 students during form time, this will happen 3 times a week with all of the Year 7 forms taking part.

It is hoped that this initiative will promote reading for enjoyment rather than a chore and that the students will come to understand the importance of reading on a daily basis
